1. B School Excellence Award
Prof. Harish Padh, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Patel University has been selected for “B-School Excellence Award – 2012 for the Outstanding Contribution to Education” by the Jury of the BloombergUTV & B-School Affaire, Mumbai.
BloombergUTV (Formerly UTVi) is a 24-hour English Language Business and Financial Broadcast News outlet in India, owned and operated by UTV Software Communications in strategic partnership with Bloomberg Television, owned by Bloomberg L.P. The award to Vice-Chancellor – Prof. Harish Padh is in recognition of Leadership, Development, Marketing an Institute and Industry Interface of Business School. This is a very prestigious award and is well researched and chosen by an independent jury and a panel of professionals who believe in nurturing talent and in recognizing the best of the best.
The award function will held on 18th February, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. onwards at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. In the function, the dignitaries like (1) Mr. Jonathan Peters, Founder, Stars of the Industry Group, USA, (2) Mr. Harish Mehta, Chairman & MD, Onward Technologies Ltd., & Trustee, Dewang Mehta Foundation, (3) Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General & CEO, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and (4) Dr. R L Bhatia – Chief Executive Officer, Fun and Joy at Work were present.
SPU feels proud for such national recognition being conferred to our Vice-Chancellor.
2. International European Science Award
Dr. HARISH PADH, VICE CHANCELLOR, Sardar Patel University RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL EUROPEAN SCIENCE AWARD
Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Dr. Harish Padh has been selected this year to receive very prestigious science award given jointly by European Business Assembly, Europe’s largest General Science Meeting – the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF), and the Club of Rectors (Deans and Provosts) of Europe. The award will be given during the next meeting of the Euroscience Open Forum to be held at Dublin, Ireland during July 11-15, 2012.
The NAME IN SCIENCE award given to Dr. Padh will be in the field of Science, Technology and Education. The award ceremony fucntion to be held in Dublin (Ireland) City Hall, is organized by Europe Business Assembly, Euroscience, Socrates Nomination Committee, Club of Rectors of Europe and the International Club of Leaders supported by powerful non-governmental organizations, professional and creative unions from 16 countries. Dr. Padh was nominated by Socrates Nomination Committee for this award.
The award citation to Dr. Padh mentions, “Brilliant Scientific Career joined with Fruitful Professional and Social Activities made you well known outside your country and ranked you amonst world’s intellectual elite”. Socrates Nomination Committee has decided to nominate you for the honorary award “THE NAME IN SCIENCE”. Dr.Padh will receive an honorary title, THE NAME IN SCIENCE, personal certificate and the medal “for the contribution to the World of Science”, and his name will be added to the world list of Significant Scientists.
The meeting to be held in Dublin in July is held once in two years, and is expected to collect 5000 delegates from about 50 countries including 26 Nobel Prize Laureates during which advance science and its social implications will be deliberated. Dr. Padh has been invited to attend and receive the award in person and participate in Euroscience Open Forum (ESOP) in Dublin.
Sardar Patel University fraternity and the community feels proud of such international recognition awarded to Vice Chancellor Dr. Harish Padh. It may be mentioned here that Dr. Padh received in February “B-School Excellence” award given by UTV-Bloomberg and STAR Industries, given for his contribution to the field of Education.
3. Manubhai Memorial Award
Manubhai M Shah Memorial Award
- The Award is named as “Prof. Manubhai M. Shah Memorial Award for Excellence in Commerce & Business Management” (MMSMA).
- The Award is to be given each year for outstanding contributions to the discipline & profession of Commerce & Business Management.
The Award shall comprise cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees two lacs) [together with a certificate and trophy], to be awarded each year for outstanding research, fundamental or applied, of creative nature in the field of Commerce & Business Management.
- Any citizen of India engaged in research in any field of Commerce & Business Management up to the age of Sixty (60) years as reckoned on 31st December of the year preceding the year of the Prize. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) &/or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) working in India (or in collaboration with Indian citizen/s if residing outside India) are also eligible.
- The person(s), in the opinion of ICA, should have made conspicuously important and outstanding contributions to human knowledge and progress in the discipline & profession of Commerce & Business Management
