M. Ed. Admissions
- The M.Ed programme is a 2-year (4-semester) course, including field attachment (practicum) and a research dissertation.
- Admission is centralized via the university.
- Seats are allocated among streams: Arts (about 50%), Science (about 30%) and Commerce (about 20%). There is also reservation/quota for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH, and a portion of seats are available for students from outside Gujarat.
- Selection is merit-based. Specifically: the university considers the aggregate marks/percentage obtained in B.Ed (or equivalent), which carries 80% weightage. Additional “special weightage” of up to 20% may be given if the candidate has a master’s degree (depending on class: distinction, 1st class, etc.) or has passed a graduate exam with compulsory English or completed a bridge course in English.
